You're my cousin - "nice to meet you"
So my cousin's wife is in Mpls from Sacramento b/c she works for Target and had to come to the corporate office. She's really nice. I had never met her. I picked her up downtown and we drove to Hastings to meet my Mom at Applebees. She likes Minneapolis. I agree, it is a nice little city...and now it's 12:30 and I'm hungry again. Great.

Ok, this reminds me of when I met a good guy friend's girlfriend years ago. He was probably my best friend back then. We met at a restaurant for dinner. Things were normal at dinner. But mind you, I was wearing my wide leg jeans with clogs & she was preppier than Tory Spelling with her khaki shorts, white button down shirt & sweater tied around her neck. We were opposites- but she was nice. Then as we were leaving & saying good bye, I put out my hand for a handshake & said it was nice to meet her. She brushes my hand out of the way & gives me a *big* hug & wispers in my ear she's so glad we met because she knows how very important I am (was) to my friend. It was all so very akward. Then I saw My Best Friend's Wedding years later & the scene when Julia meets Cameron reminded me of my real life moment. The akwardness came flooding back.

I love that movie and Cameron Diaz in it - she's so annoyingingly awesome.
Hi Gama - At Applebees I had the Santa Fe Chx Salad - it was good. Of course, probably as much fat/calories as a burger & fries w/ all the sour cream in the salad, but oh well.
