More hotel fun

Sticking with my recent hotel nightmare, I watched the remake of Psycho last night. It's still creepy, but then, just about any attempt at horror in a movie scares the bejesus out of me.

It's interesting to see the way they filmed this 1998 remake in the same manner/angles/shots as the original. I guess I'd much rather stay at La Quinta than this roadside inn. Yikes. (And now I can't sleep)

  • OK, I'm staying at a hotel next weekend by myself for a wedding, and after your last few posts, I fear I could either lose my job or get slashed to death in the shower. Um, maybe I should have gotten a date for this wedding. Now I'm going to be wide awake the whole night like Jerry was the night he stayed in Kramer's apt & heard the creepy doll all night. Great. Thanks.

  • Oh no!! Be sure to put a chair/desk/bed in front of the door and bring a weapon in the shower with you...or just get drunk & become oblivious!

  • I think I'll do a combo platter of both the former & the latter. If I never post on your site again, you know how it turned out.

  • Oh, and the talking doll?? That's about the only time I laughed all evening - and that includes watching Saturday Night Live. The only time I laughed was when they showed Martha in jail and she had a tear tattooed by her eye! Then the news lady said, "I thought you only get one of those if you kill someone.." Martha only said, "Yeah." Was the talking doll the one that looked like George's mother?! I remember being in my dorm and laughing my ass off at that episode...

  • I want to say it was some stupid clown doll that Kramer had, Mr. something- the names not coming to me. But it was hilarious. Eversince Poltergeist I've been leary of all clown dolls- seems to be a common theme because it was in The Game w/ gross Michael Douglas, too (the doll had a camera in it). Maybe that's why Chuckles met his demise on the MTM show as he did. Hummm, its all coming full circle.

  • Perfect. It all comes full-circle on Seinfeld. I couldn't have written better myself...of course, I can't actually "read", per say...but who's counting?
